Yoga Offered at OGL
Class—A yoga postures class is offered twice a week at Olalla
Recovery Centers. The class is for beginners. The focus is on stretching
and energizing the entire body using Hatha Yoga techniques and calming
the mind using positive affirmations. The routine is simple and easy to
learn and is an adjunct to our meditation program.
Yoga postures have been proven to relax the body and the mind. Yoga
is an alternative way (rather than drugs) to improve your emotional
state: the deep relaxations it provides allows tension to drain away.
The yoga postures class is taught by a certified yoga instructor who
has practiced yoga for many years and is in personal recovery from
addictions.
