Reconnect, get inspired, celebrate sobriety at our annual picnic

If you’ve never been to our alumni picnic, you’re truly missing out. This annual family event is a highlight of summer for the Olalla Recovery Centers community. We celebrate recovery together and get a chance to reconnect with those we haven’t heard from in a while.

For those struggling with their recovery journey, there’s no better place to be. Some of our alumni are celebrating 20 or 30 years of recovery — and hearing their stories is a moment of pride for our staff and a beacon of encouragement for other alums.

Mark your calendar for this year’s picnic, starting at noon on Sunday, August 27. This event is for the entire family, so make sure to bring the kids for games and activities like face painting and hay toss.

Enjoy potluck lunch (bring your favorite dish to share!) and casual visiting at noon, then participate in a sobriety countdown as everyone earns their coins, and stay for the closing Native American spiritual circle. With the typical attendance of several hundred people, this is an inspiring sight.
