RE: Positive Cases of COVID-19

Our agency was informed by health officials of a positive diagnosis of COVID-19, the illness resulting from the novel coronavirus, in our community at our residential program, Olalla Guest Lodge.  Per our guidance from the Washington State Department of Health and the Washington State Health Care Authority, we immediately notified our area Health District.

The affected individuals are in isolation/quarantine outside of our facility.  We are following procedures recommended by the Kitsap County Health District as well as the guidance from Washington State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. We are taking steps as recommended by authorities to contain the spread. We want to make patients, their families, and our dedicated staff aware of this situation and reassure everyone that we are doing all we can to control the spread and protect our patients and staff.

Developments are changing day by day, minute by minute. Our focus remains on the health and well-being of our community. We must also recognize our team for the concern and commitment they have shown to our patients and to each other during this challenging time. Our mission has never been more meaningful.

At this time, we have stopped admissions until November 23, 2020.  Those in treatment services will continue to receive high quality substance use disorder treatment services.  We plan to resume admissions on 11/23/2020, unless we are directed otherwise by health care authorities.

The health and safety of our patients and staff remain our highest priority.

Thank you,

Christine Lynch
Executive Director
